Technology Challenge Workshop for pupils in Years 3 and 4.

A fun, two hour ‘hands-on’ workshop  using construction kits to investigate vehicles with large and small wheels, how wheels can be used in a conveyer belt and how wheels can be used as part of a caterpillar track mechanism on a remote control robot.

The focus of each workshop is for the pupils to design and make their own vehicle, with or without a remote control device, to go round an obstacle course or a conveyer belt for a factory.

This workshop is for up to 36 pupils in Years 3 or 4 supported by their class teacher. All resources, tuition and equipment are provided.

This workshop supports:

‘Controllable Vehicles’ UNIT 6D QCA

‘Inventions and Machines’ and ‘Airports’ Milepost Two, International Primary Curriculum (IPC)

The teacher will arrive at 9.30am.

The first workshop is from 9.45am to 12.00 allowing for a short break. The second workshop, with a different class, will be from 1.00pm to 3.15pm allowing for a short break.
